Professional trombone player turned technology head, Jon is a budding developer with an insatiable appetite for learning.
Projected to graduate from Oregon State University with a BS in computer science in March 2023, Jon has experience developing apps in python and javascript and aspires to further his education in open source software and cloud development. Based in New Orleans, LA as a globe trotting professional trombone player for over a decade, Jon has worked with others in creative settings ranging from the classroom to the Grammys. His knack for technical music theory and love of creative exploration are funneled directly into a passion for computer languages and the inner workings of machines. Having used the language of music to communicate with humanity thus far, Jon is stoked to engage in a new form of expression and discovery through modern technology and cutting edge web development. After years of travel and cross country moves, Jon is drawn by the vibrant tech scene in the Northeast and is ready to put down roots with his artist wife and three insane rescue animals.
